James Bond: Casino Royale

I am a pretty avid James Bond fan. I love Sean Connery's James Bond. I was okay with Roger Moore's until recently. Mainly because Roger Moore was my James Bond as I was growing up. I wasn't a fan of Timothy Dalton's, because he was such a stick in the mud James Bond. Pierce was great. I wasn't sure how blond Daniel Craig would do as Bond, but I need not have worried because he was AWESOME!!!

We went last night to see the latest in the James Bond franchise, Casino Royale. It was non stop action from the beginning to the end. I was never once bored and it was never once a slow movie. The movie is quite long, however. It started at 9:35 pm and ended a bit before midnight. Daniel Craig portrays Bond in the way he was meant to be, gritty and tough. He was down and dirty and sometimes very bloody. In the past the Bond's were so slick and not a hair out of place. This Bond kicks ass and looks like he was in a fight for his life. He is bloody and scratched up.

This Bond ain't your daddy's Bond!!! This is the new and way improved version of Bond. He is more human like and makes mistakes and still gets the job done. The locals are great. Miami, Montenegro, Africa, and Italy just to name a few. This movie gets a thumbs way up from me. He is NAKED in one scene. Yes, I said NAKED. Without apparel. And he looks good while doing it as well. Like I said, this is a new and improved Bond. If Daniel Craig will play this role for a bit, prestige will return to the Bond franchise like in it's heyday. I was impressed with his ability to use his eyes to portray emotion. He has sultry blue eyes that speak a thousand words when the scene is devoid of actual dialogue. So, if you haven't seen it already, go and see it. I wasn't disappointed and I don't think you will be either. Ciao.....
